Bentima House was experiencing persistent issues with low cold water pressure throughout the building. This problem significantly affected the performance of the hot water system and resulted in poor circulation, leading to reduced heating efficiency and overall occupant discomfort.
PSB Mechanical Services carried out a full assessment of the existing cold water system and identified key issues contributing to poor water pressure and system performance. To resolve this, the team decommissioned and removed a redundant boiler to create space for a new 2000-litre cold water storage tank and a high-efficiency booster pump.
The existing water main within the plant room was altered to accommodate the new cold water booster pump. PSB then installed all new pipework connected to the booster system and converted the building’s cold water main to a boosted cold water supply, ensuring reliable water pressure across all floors and improved hot water circulation. The overall upgrades also enhanced the efficiency of the underfloor heating system, contributing to a more consistent and comfortable environment throughout the commercial office space.
